Boettcher/Trinklein is an Emmy-winning company that's been creating quality media for more than two decades.

Recent projects include "The Gold Rush" documentary film (narrated by John Lithgow) which aired nationally on PBS--as did an earlier film "The Oregon Trail." Currently in production is Trailblazers, an hour-long documentary based on this site. Award-winning director Steve Boettcher calls the film "One of the most interesting projects I've ever worked on."

The Trailblazers web site was written and designed by Michael Trinklein. Trinklein's writing has been critically acclaimed—the Chicago Tribune, for example, called his work “Never less than interesting...” while the Sacramento Bee said his writing was “polished... fast-paced... consistently interesting.” Even USA Today called his work "evocative."

Trinklein’s first web site (oregon-trail.com) was listed by Forbes magazine as one of the top ten history web sites on the Internet--and was also honored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. He has also produced web sites for PBS.org, the Green Bay Packers, and others.

Mike Trinklein has been a professor at Idaho State University since 1984. In the last few years, he has received seven awards in the Broadcast Education Association’s juried competition—and the silver award (twice) from the prestigious International Television Association.

Trinklein has a Masters degree in media production from the University of Iowa (1983), and a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He resides in Pocatello, Idaho with his wife and sons.
